Arriving on a flight to Edinburgh airport, what next?
There is noting worse than that stressful feeling of where to go and what to do to get into Edinburgh city centre or to your accommodation. When you first disembark the aircraft you will need to make your way to passport control, baggage reclaim and customs and then you are on your own.

They are more likely to know the best place to meet to avoid any confusion and thus avoiding any extra unnecessary stress. The rail station is in the city centre and does not connect with Edinburgh airport at present. There is a shuttle service into the centre of Edinburgh and surrounding area, which runs every ten to fifteen minutes. The bus service also has a frequent service and it also runs every ten to fifteen minutes with a journey time of twenty five to thirty minutes to the city centre. This is the cheapest option to getting to and from the city centre and Edinburgh airport.
As with all airports there is an airport taxi service and again like all airport taxi services they are not the cheapest. They do however offer convenient and quick journey times and can take you exactly where you want to go.
Car hire is available within the terminal building however it is recommended that you pre-book online prior to your arrival so you get the car you want and it is ready for your arrival. You can also better manage your budget knowing in advance what you have to pay. Having a car does provide a convenience not available with public transport.
